Congratulations to Robin Pierce on qualifying as a volunteer watchkeeper with NCI Exmouth and qualifying for the RYA VHF Short Range Certificate (SRC).

The Short-Range Certificate is the minimum qualification required by law to control the operation of VHF radio equipment.

If anyone would like to find out more about becoming a volunteer watchkeeper, please contact the station via its website using the contact button for recruitment.

A spokesman for Exmouth NCI said: "We welcome Robin to our NCI Station here in Exmouth, we look forward to working with you."

NCI Exmouth maintain eyes along the coast 52 weeks of the year, watchkeeping hours are adjusted to reflect the day light hours and the activities taking place on local beaches and inshore waters.

From March 27 they open at 8.30am until 6.30pm and from May 15 from 8am to 7.30pm. During the peak summer months they further increase with coastal water safety advice for swimmers, paddleboarders and beach users.
