SPURGEON LAWRENCE HAROLD. Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Knappe Cross Nursing Home on Sunday 16th May, aged 95 years. Widow of the late Betty Spurgeon, he will be sadly missed by his Grandchildren Louise, Victoria and Michelle, his Great Grandchildren, family and friends. A veteran of WW2 he saw active duty with the Welsh Guards from 1944 to 1947 and in later life had a long career with the Post Office before his retirement.
