The winners of Exmouth Museum’s ‘name the horse mural’ competition have returned to present the museum with paintings of their own horses.
Sennen and Roux Carroll chose the winning name Duke for the horse painted by Gary Cook and carried out the official naming on Saturday, October 1.
Their prize was a selection of artists’ materials, and the girls have now produced their own works of art depicting their horses Billy and Teddy, which they brought to the museum on Saturday, October 15.
The pictures are on display in the museum’s reception area.
The mural will remain outside the museum until it closes for the winter on Monday, October 31, when it will be moved indoors.
Mike Menhenitt from the Society of Exmouth Museum said: “We would like to thank Gary Cook for painting the mural, Jewsons of Withycombe for supplying the materials and everyone who supported this project on what has been a truly successful and memorable landmark in the life of the museum.”
