The Salterton Drama Club's next production is a comedy whodunnit about a murder that takes place during an amateur dramatics production.
Murder in Play by Simon Brett is a ‘play within a play’. Boris Smolensky's budget repertory production of Murder at Priorswell Manor is falling apart during rehearsals, as the cast are more interested in their egos than the play. Then Boris's wife Renee is murdered on stage.
The Salterton Drama Club production is directed by Kim and Steve Clark, and features a host of familiar faces on stage. Most of the cast get the opportunity to act the parts of their 'real' characters and their roles in the murder drama.
The play opens on Monday, December 5 at the Salterton Playhouse, with performances every evening at 7.30pm until Friday 9, with a final matinee show on Saturday, December 10 at 2.30pm. Tickets cost £12 and are available from www.saltertondrama.co.uk or by phoning Budleigh Information Centre on 01395 445275.
