Exmouth care home Raleigh Manor is helping tackle loneliness in their local community this February and March.
Open for elderly people who might usually eat alone, they are invited to join the residents and teams at the home on Wednesday's for a three course meal in the home’s dining room.
The home’s Head Chef will be producing a meal for residents, with the option of dietary needs and preferences and a selection of beverages.
The ‘Don’t Dine Alone’ initiative was launched by care provider Barchester Healthcare as a way to reach out to isolated or vulnerable members of their local communities.
Gill Pratt, General Manager at Raleigh Manor said: “Loneliness can be a big problem for elderly people, especially in the winter months during this energy crisis. Our doors are always open to new friends of the home.”
