Salterton Drama Club are back on the stage this week with a psychological thriller, Dangerous Obsession by N J Crisp.
The play, directed by Leigh Steedman, follows one evening at the home of Mark and Sally Driscoll, a rich 1980s 'yuppie' couple living in the Home Counties. Sally is alone in the house when an unexpected visitor arrives.
The visitor, John Barratt, appears quiet and polite, and claims to be a past acquaintance of the couple. But when Mark arrives home, events take an unsettling turn as it emerges that Barratt’s visit has a more sinister purpose.
Dangerous Obsession is a tense three-hander, full of twists and shock revelations, and features some new faces treading the boards at the Salterton Playhouse.
The play opened on Sunday, March 5 and runs nightly at 7.30pm until Friday 10, with a Saturday matinee on March 11 at 2.30pm.
Tickets are available for £12 from www.saltertondrama.co.uk or Budleigh Information Centre 01395 445275.
