GIRLGUIDING Exmouth have joined forces with F Arthur Jones & Co to create a decorated shopfront in tribute to the Coronation of King Charles III.

The coronation will take place next weekend, on May 6.

Tony Wade of F Arthur Jones said: “I am really delighted that Girlguiding Exmouth have turned our window into a fitting tribute to our new King and I hope that the community in Exmouth can be of help to Girlguiding by coming forward and supporting the Rainbow, Brownie and Guide units in our town”.

A law firm, F Arthur Jones & Co is located at 35 Strand, Exmouth, EX8 1AQ.

Girlguiding help to empower girls and encourages them to make a positive difference in their local communities.

The Girlguiding team help members think big and be bold in a space where they can be themselves, get creative, explore, and have fun.

They pride themselves for being a powerful collective voice – with girls, led by girls – changing the world for the better.

One member, called Molly, explains why she loves Girlguiding: "It is really fun and full of activities and there are many friends, and you will learn lots!”

Sue, a Girlguiding leader, says: “Being a leader is rewarding as I enjoy helping to support the girls in a space that gives them the opportunity to be themselves and discover new things. The best thing for me is the increase in my confidence.”

More volunteers are welcome for the Girlguiding team, which helps local girls and young women enjoy a wide range of experiences.

Being a Girlguiding volunteer could see you going around the world accompanying girls on trips of a lifetime, spending a weekday evening helping girls learn a new skill or enjoying an action-packed outdoors adventure weekend as you make your own lifelong friendships.

To become a volunteer, you don't need to have experience in guiding or necessarily have loads of free time.  Volunteers may only need to help out a couple of hours a week, meaning that you can work around your schedule while helping other girls become more confident in themselves and their abilities.
