Pebblebed Heath and Upham car park on Woodbury Common could be getting upgraded soon, if plans get approved.
Planning permission has been submitted to East Devon District Council to install a 'new tarmac entrance, layout changes, vehicle barriers and alterations to boundary treatments to Uphams, Pebblebed Heath, the Wheathill and the Model Aircraft car-park.'
Plans include a new wider tarmaced site entrance constructed using a tarmac surfacing. Reprofiling of the verges for better visibility. Low level security barriers at the entrance and a new sign.
The application will be discussed by district councillors, before they decide to approve or reject the plans.
The application says this is all part of a plan to upgrade the area so more people can use it.
