A random act of kindness offering dogs the chance to play with tennis balls on the beach has appeared on Exmouth seafront.
The cardboard box full of old tennis balls at the dog-friendly section of the beach appears to have been left by an owner in tribute to a dog called Rex.
A sign with the box reads: “The goodest of good boys. Rex loved the beach, Rex loved the ball.
“Please feel free to take a ball for your dog and I hope you all enjoy this place as much as we did. Rex, sleep well my ginger prince.”
It is unclear who the owners of Rex are but it is a lovely gesture from one local dog owner over the summer period.
