Exmouth’s Armed Forces Day has been cancelled at last minute due to the current bad weather forecast.
Organiser of the event, Roy Davis told the Journal: "Due to the current bad weather forecast and in interest of public safety, Exmouth Royal Marines Association have cancelled their Armed Forces Day event and wish to thank all members of the public who showed their support in this event.
"Hopefully we should have better weather for next year."
This was due to be the first Armed Forces Day to take place since the Covid pandemic. It will now be cancelled until next year.
The event is intended for the public draw their appreciation to the veterans, serving members of the Armed Forces, Cadet units and support services.
The main aim of the day, besides supporting our Armed Forces is to help raise funds for all charities who support the wider community.
