Exmouth Quakers teamed up with sand artist, Paul Burton on Saturday (September 2) on Orcombe Beach to create a labyrinth in the sand.
A labyrinth was drawn in the sand and enabled people to experience the spiritual practice of walking the labyrinth.
A spokesman for Exmouth Quakers said: "Entering the path of a labyrinth, you walk slowly while quieting your mind and focusing on a spiritual question or prayer.
"Many people joined us throughout the afternoon and took the opportunity to take some time out from their busy lives and undertake this spiritual practice surrounded by the beauty and wonder of the sand, rocks and sea at Orcombe Point."
People experiencing the Labyrinth commented on how it helped them to slow down and listen to the waves and notice the sand under their feet and how they learned to surrender to the experience, not knowing how to get to the centre, and having to let go and trust the path.
The spokesperson added: "It was such a magical afternoon and so heart-lifting to see the smiles and delight on the faces of people leaving the labyrinth after the experience."
