Devon and Cornwall Police have closed the A376 northbound at Clyst St George due to flash flooding this morning, (September 17).
Reported on the Devon and Cornwall Police website at 10am it said: "Slow traffic due to flooding and debris on road on A376 Exmouth Road Northbound between Woodbury Road (Clyst St George) and Sidmouth Road (Clyst St Mary)."
Traffic around Sandy Gate roundabout in Exeter and around Topsham at Darts Farm heading towards Exmouth on the A376 is busy as a result. Delays of four minutes are being reported on M5 Northbound between J31 A38 (Okehampton turn off) and J30 A376 Sidmouth Road (Exeter / Service Areas). Average speed there of 25 mph.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue say they are experiencing a high number of calls about flooding today.
