Exmouth in Bloom are proud to have achieved a coveted Gold Award in the 2023 National Finals of the RHS Britain in Bloom competition in the Coastal Town class.
Five members of the EiB committee attended the Award Ceremony at the RHS Headquarters, Lindley Hall, in Westminster, to receive the award.
This achievement of Gold is particularly special for Exmouth as it is the first time in Exmouth in Bloom’s 52-year history that Gold has been achieved nationally.
2023 has been a doubly momentous year, as Exmouth has also won Gold and the accolade of ‘Champion of Champions’ in the South West of England ‘In Bloom’ competition.
Bloom volunteers and Exmouth Town Council’s Grounds maintenance team, have now finished planting the towers, troughs and beds for the winter months, welcoming residents and visitors with colourful displays and maintaining Exmouth’s reputation as The Town of Flowers.
The National Gold banner will shortly be displayed along Marine Way on the railings behind the flower-filled boat George Bearman so that the whole community can enjoy the success.
