Exmouth Museum is inviting local residents to a 'Dickensian Christmas' event - with the emphasis on traditional festive fun, not Scrooge.
The fundraising evening will take place on Friday, December 8 from 6pm until 8.30pm.
The downstairs rooms of the museum will be open to visitors for the evening at a reduced entry fee of only £1.00 per adult, children free.
A spokesperson for the museum said: "Step back in time with us to an enchanting Christmas past as you join the celebrations. Enjoy a Christmas sing-along and make some Christmas memories with family and friends.
"The Exmouth Arms will be selling Christmas refreshments so treat yourself to a mulled wine or cider and a mince pie. Sam the Cycle Coffee Man will also be selling delicious coffee from his stall.
"Try your luck and have a go at our treasure hunt, pick the spot to win a Christmas hamper or have a turn at one of our old-fashioned guessing games.
"There will be a lucky dip with Christmas gifts for the younger members of the family and although Santa is too busy to attend he may send one of his helpers.
"Take part in our silent auction - we have lots of wonderful items to bid on, all of which have been kindly donated by local businesses.
"Stock up on some stocking fillers with our selection of gifts and Exmouth Museum memorabilia."
The museum is located in Sheppard’s Row, Exmouth, EX8 1PW.
