On Wednesday, (November 22), Mike Gidney - CEO of the Fairtrade Foundation - visited the Beacon.
They were joined by other school children in Exmouth, including: Marpool Primary School and St John's School, Sidmouth, our Y5 and Y6 children had the chance to learn about how Fairtrade works to make life fairer for people in developing countries and what it was like to be CEO of an international organisation.
A spokesman for Marpool Primary School told the Journal that: "Mike was very impressed with the enthusiasm our children have for Fairtrade and the thoughtful comments and questions they had too."
