Around 200 people - many in seasonal fancy dress - braved the bitter cold for the Otterton Reindeer Run on Saturday, December 2.
It was the first time since the pandemic that the fun pre-Christmas event had taken place, and a new organiser, Ian Simpson, had stepped in.
There was a 10K cross-country run for the serious athletes and a 3K run for children and the less energetic participants.
Runners signed up in the church before the start of the run at 10am.
Participants said it had been 'wonderful' to see the Reindeer Run making a comeback, and the route of the 10k was 'lovely'. They thanked Ian and all the marshals for making it happen.
