Morey's Convenience Store on Exeter Road is being sold by Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.
Morey’s Convenience Store has been a longtime staple amongst the community, as a independent locally run store providing a wide range of convenience items including newspapers, confectionary and alcohol.
Since March 2010, the store has been owned and operated by Gareth Curl, who has worked in the business for 34 years and has owned this shop for 13 years. Gareth feels now is the time for retirement and to allow a new owner to expand and maximise the opportunity of the store.
Gareth said: “Having managed the store for the previous owner when we were given the opportunity to purchase the business, we jumped at the chance. Having taken the business forward over the last 13 years, we are now ready to step back and let someone else take the reins.”
"This is a great opportunity to take over a well-established and well run store, with space and scope to expand the business, and increase product lines and offerings to the local community."
Matthew McFarlane, business agent at Christie & Co who is handling the sale added: "Morey’s has been established for many years and is a well known name on the high street in Exmouth. This presents a fabulous opportunity for a new operator to take over a well run store with lots of scope to expand the business and products."
Moreys is one of Exmouth's largest and most popular independent convenience stores, and has been under the current ownership since March 2010.
The store provide an extensive array of products for our customers, including Essential Groceries, such as bread, milk and eggs, Wines, Beers and Spirits, Confectionary, crisps and nuts, Sandwiches, Pasties and Pies and other food to go, Frozen Foods, Cigarettes and Vapes, Medicine, Deli Meats and Cheeses, Cakes and Biscuits, Toiletries, General Groceries, Fresh Vegetables and Fruit, Soft Drinks & Water, Cleaning Products, Greetings Cards & Stationary, Ice Creams and Newspapers and Magazines
