In January 2024 the National Trust will commission an artist to co-create up to three artworks of scale in the grounds of A la Ronde, near Exmouth.
A spokesman for The National Trust said: "The artist will work closely with their local community partners to explore the theme of ‘Finding Refuge’, drawing inspiration from the spirit of A la Ronde, a place of curiosity and creativity, and leading workshops and activities resulting in between one and three artistic responses. This collaborative process will be documented online."
The Open Call for Artists (pdf) is here. The application deadline is 22 January, with interviews on 30 and 31 January.
The appointed artists will lead workshops and activities in the grounds with the aim of breaking down the culture in Exmouth.
The artwork will then be displayed in the house and grounds from June to October 2024 which anyone can come along to view.
