Seachange in Budleigh Salterton is inviting new people to join the team working on its community allotment.
The allotment was set up to provide opportunities for people to connect with nature and reap the therapeutic benefits of horticulture, while also enjoying the social benefits. People can plant and cultivate herbs, vegetables and fruit, or help with mowing and weeding, giving as much or as little time as they want to. The Garden Group welcomes people of all ages, whether they are experienced gardeners or complete beginners. They share the produce they have grown, and donate any surplus to food share schemes. Tools and guidance are provided.
This could be an opportunity for people waiting for their own allotment, or those who have one but can no longer manage it by themselves.
For more information about the community allotment, or the many other opportunities Seachange offers, call 01395 446 896 or visit its website at https://www.seachangedevon.org
