The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued an amber warning for cold in place until Friday (January 12).
If you are cold and in need of a coat, free coats are available for people to take in the front porch of Exmouth Library. These have been generously donated by the local community for anyone in need to take for free.
This is a nationwide campaign being run by Julian House Devon in libraries across Devon. More information at julianhouse.org.uk/donate-a-coat-campaign
This winter, the campaign will be included as part of a wider initiative of Devon Libraries to offer warm and welcoming spaces during the cost-of-living crisis. The new Libraries for Life campaign launched in October and will run until March 2024. It will highlight the numerous ways libraries offer help, primarily for free.
