The Exmouth Players' next production is the critically acclaimed play Rotterdam written by playwright, television writer, and director Jon Brittain.
It will be performed at the Blackmore Theatre from 1st-6th April 2024.
Rotterdam premiered at Theatre503 in 2015 before transferring to Trafalgar Studios where it earned him a nomination for the Charles Wintour Award for Most Promising Playwright at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2016. It later transferred to 59E59 in New York and the Arts Theatre in the West End. Rotterdam won an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre in 2017.
The story follows Alice and girlfriend Fiona, who reveals he has always identified as a man and now wants to start living as one named Adrian.
Rotterdam is a bittersweet comedy about gender, sexuality, and being a long way from home.
