A yellow warning of heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office for the whole of the south west.
The warning will come into force at 2am on Thursday, February 8 and remain in place until 6am on Friday, February 9.
The Environment Agency has are currently issued no flood warnings or alerts for East Devon.
However there may be some localised flooding of homes and businesses, bus and train services may be affected, and drivers are advised to take extra care on the roads.
