The Bishop of Crediton and acting Bishop of Exeter has visited an Exmouth primary school to explain her role to the children.
On March 11, Bishop Jackie Searle attended Littleham C of E Primary and presented two prayer books for its new library.
The children were able to ask questions about her role and talk about the school’s new vision and values.
Headteacher Mr Paddon said: "Hosting Bishop Jackie was a really special occasion for the school.
"We have worked hard at developing our new school vision, with Christian values at the heart.
"The children spoke brilliantly about our overarching value of 'Aspiration' and its link to The Parable of the Mustard.
"A big thanks goes to the St Margaret and St Andrew Church team, particularly Reverend Steve and Reverend Benedict, who helped organise Bishop Jackie's visit."
