The Exeter Temple Salvation Army Band and Songsters will return to St Peter’s Church in Budleigh Salterton on Saturday, April 20.
The concert is being organised by the Friends of St Peter’s Church and the proceeds will go towards the maintenance of the church. There will also be a retiring collection for the people of Gaza.
The band performed at the church in March last year, and Malcolm Jones from the Friends of St Peter’s Church said he is ‘delighted’ that they will play at this year’s spring concert.
He said: “The previous performance last year held the audience's full attention throughout, with the singing of some hymns well known by us all.
“The cornet solo, the Songsters, a quartet and an energetic timbrel demonstration captivated the whole audience.
“The acoustics at St Peter’s Church in Budleigh Salterton are simply wonderful for all instruments and choirs, and the concert atmosphere will stay with us for a long time.”
Tickets for next month’s concert are £10, available from The Card Shop Too in the High Street, the Parish Office, or by phoning Malcolm Jones 01395 443333. Any remaining tickets will be sold on the door.
The concert will start at 6.30pm.
