Exmouth's National Coastwatch Instutition's Coastwatch House suffered damage last night in the storm.
In a post on Facebook this afternoon (April 9), they said: "The property has now been evacuated, with the council propping it up temporarily. Looks like we will need a new home.
"Some people refer to this building as the "old First Aid Hut" but it's been a Coastwatch building for the last 25 years."
The building is mainly used for storage and training and fundraising material for the charity. The RNLI also sometimes use it when the beach is patrolled by lifeguards.
