Littleham C of E Primary has formed a partnership with the Littleham Community Garden with the aim of providing fresh fruit and vegetables for the whole community.
Sam Burnett, who has run the community garden since its creation last year, will be heading up the project alongside his team.
He said: "I am delighted that Littleham School is keen to work alongside us. My plan is that over time, we will extend our gardens onto the school grounds and involve the community so that they have real ownership."
Headteacher Mr Paddon said: "Sam is a real advocate for Littleham and has a passion to strengthen links in the community. I am so pleased that he has agreed to support us in our aim of creating sustainable food sources for our community."
As part of the project children from the school have visited the gardens at Littleham Leisure Centre and learned from Sam about the vegetables that are grown there.
