Part of Exeter High Street was cordoned off this morning (Wednesday, May 8) after reports of a sexual assault.
The incident was reported at around 4.10am.
Police attended and cordoned off an area near Waterstone's, opposite John Lewis.
A police spokesperson said the victim of the assault is being supported by specially trained officers while enquiries continue.
