Exmouth Town Councillor Angela Boatwright has resigned meaning a casual vacancy role has opened up at the council to fill her place.
The acting officer at EDDC announced the new role on Friday (May 10) meaning a casual vacancy now exists for a Town Councillor with Exmouth Town Council to represent Town Ward.

A spokesman for the town council said: "Under the Local Elections Rules, any ten electors for Town ward may request a poll to fill the vacancy by contacting the Returning Officer at East Devon District Council.
"The period during which any ten electors can give notice requiring an election to fill the vacancy will expire on May 30. The role was announced on May 10.
"If no poll is claimed, Exmouth Town Council will proceed to fill the vacancy by co-option for which further details will follow."
