A leading Cornish architectural practice has expanded into Devon and changed its name.
Poynton Bradbury Wynter Cole is now Poynton Bradbury Architects and has opened an office in Exeter.
Director Chris Turner explained the shorter name honours the company's founders and 50-year history.
He said: "It's common for architects to use their practice name to reflect their ownership, or to capitalise on a single designer or personality."
However, Mr Turner believes their approach is more collaborative and community-focused.
He added: "As an entirely employee-owned business we have the flexibility to evolve in a way that works for our clients, our team, and the communities in which we work."
Poynton Bradbury Architects is responsible for designing the Sideshore in Exmouth, a prominent water sports centre and home to Mickeys Beach Bar & Restaurant.
The firm has assured clients there will be no disruption to ongoing projects due to their expansion and name change.
The Exeter office will be led by Kate Wotton.
She said: "With my knowledge and experience in the county, I am sure we will be able to extend Poynton Bradbury Architects’ reputation across the border and deliver the highest quality architecture for the people of Devon and Cornwall".
