One of the first events of Budleigh Lions Club Gala Week is the 'Pebble Dash', a one-mile fun run along the stunning seafront at Budleigh Salterton.
The fun run is being organised by local running club Budleigh Runners and takes place on Sunday 26th May.
You can register to take part at the Budleigh Runners stall at the Gala Week Fete on the Green on Saturday 25th May or on the day of the run from 9.30am in Lime Kiln car park.
The entry fee is £3 per adult and £1 per child (under 18).
The race begins at 11am and all participants will receive a free ice lolly courtesy of Fifty Degrees North.
A spokesperson for the running club said: "Budleigh Runners is a friendly and inclusive running club for runners of all abilities. Whether you are an established runner or yet to run one step, our aim is to help everyone meet their goals and achieve their highest potential - and of course, have lots of fun along the way!
"Our members range in ability from people just trying out running for the first time, to fast competitive athletes. We have a number of runners who love to take it easy by run/walking, and we always have a tailrunner, so we never leave anyone behind. Come along even if you do not feel confident or fit - we welcome those of all shapes, sizes and styles of life! If you might be interested in coming along, please contact us for details.
