Exmouth Museum and Heritage Centre is still looking for volunteers to join them for their 2024 season.
Another open-door event is happening on June 7 from midday to 1pm. Jacky Stockhill, a volunteer will be there to answer any questions.
They are hoping people can commit to just a few hours a week or a lot more there is something to suit everyone, you can choose to be a steward and welcome visitors or you can take a place behind the scenes.
2024 marks the 40th year of Volunteer’s Week and during this week, which runs from June 3 to 9 the team will be joining thousands of charities and voluntary organisations in recognising the contribution volunteers make across the UK.
A spokesman for the Museum said: "Volunteers are active at the heart of communities across the UK and none more so at The Museum as we rely solely on them to keep the Museum running.
"Every one of our volunteers is important to the museum and we are grateful for the commitment, experience and individual skills they bring and to the loyalty and commitment they demonstrate.
"We would like to say a huge thank you to every single one of our volunteers, your contribution is valued and appreciated."
In March an open-door event was held where an appeal for new volunteers to join was sought, this was very successful, and seven new members were welcomed.
