A care home in Exmouth has raised over £1,000 for a charity in Budleigh Salterton.
Raleigh Manor recently handed a cheque for £1,007 to Seachange Devon.
It will be used to buy sewing machines for the Sew and Save community group.
The grant was awarded by Barchester’s Charitable Foundation, a UK-wide organisation aiding elderly individuals and adults with disabilities or mental health difficulties.
Gill Pratt, general manager at Raleigh Manor, presented the donation.
Seachange's fundraising and communications officer Sam Tidman said: "The group were so excited to receive the much needed new equipment.
"This creates a significant opportunity for more local people to get involved.
"The practical and social benefit is life-changing".
He added: "We are always keen to show as much support as we can to local charities.
"We are delighted to be able to do this."
