A cafe providing support to people experiencing memory issues is now offering new sessions for more flexibility.
Seachange Memory Cafe, in Budleigh Salterton, now offers new half-day sessions.
The Cafe, designed for those experiencing memory issues, operates Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10.30am - 3.30pm at £35 per session, inclusive of a two-course lunch and refreshments.
They also provide staff-facilitated activities designed to keep minds active and promote social interaction,
Participants can connect with like-minded people, who are on a similar journey, building meaningful friendships and offering each other support.
The guiding principle is to create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment for individuals struggling with memory loss.
For carers, Seachange Memory Cafe offers a valuable opportunity for respite.
While loved ones enjoy a fun-filled, enriching day, carers can take a well-deserved breather.
Led by Jo Keeler and a group of passionate volunteers, it caters to the unique needs of participants with memory loss.
With a clear understanding of these requirements, they strive to provide an atmosphere brimming with compassion and laughter.
This comes as a music group at Seachange, which encourages people with dementia to sing, has been awarded £6,000 over three years.
