Exmouth’s Deaf Academy is coming to the end of its fourth academic year since relocating to the town from Exeter.
It has been actively involved in becoming part of the ‘fabric’ of Exmouth. Students join in many community activities such as Exmouth Pride, Exmouth Festival and delivering Deaf Awareness training to local people and organisations.
It is celebrating getting another Good Ofsted grading, which means it is now rated individually as Good across each area of its provision – School, College, Post-19, Residential and Rolle House Children’s Care Home.
Pictured here are the Academy’s Post-19 staff and students after receiving the news of its Good rating. The Academy now looks forward to another great academic year and to preparing special celebrations in town for its 200th anniversary in 2026.
