A jumble sale held by Budleigh Salterton Lions Club attracted plenty of bargain hunters last Saturday (July 13).
It was one of three events organised by the club last week to raise funds for the Budleigh Salterton Carnival Club; the other two were raffle ticket selling in the High Street and the monthly bingo in the public hall on Wednesday, July 10.
The raffle ticket selling was affected by the bad weather but the Lions said there was an 'excellent turnout' for the jumble and the bingo, and thanked all the volunteers involved.
The amount raised hasn't been counted yet.
The next Budleigh Lions Bingo will be in the Public Hall on Wednesday, August 7; doors open at 6.00pm and 'eyes down' is at 7.30pm.
There will be another collection for the Exmouth Food Bank at their bingo evening. Members of the public can drop off items between 6pm and 8.45pm at the food collection point at the Public Hall.
