A housebuilder will sponsor a town's annual event for the second year.
Taylor Wimpey Exeter has agreed to sponsor Topsham's Charter Day for the second time as part of its commitment to support events near its Apsham Grange development in Topsham.
Now in its eighth year, the Topsham Charter Day commemorates the granting of Topsham's Royal Charter in 1297.
This year's medieval-themed celebration will be held on August 25 and will feature a procession, flea markets, and pop-up stalls.
There will also be games, street entertainers, and musical and dance performances.
Taylor Wimpey's £450 donation will be used to print and deliver event programmes to residents.
Kathy Parsons, organiser at the event, said: "The whole community come together every year to celebrate the granting of the Topsham Charter by King Edward 1.
"It’s such a fun family day which ends with an evening Ceilidh on the Quay with the beautiful backdrop of the river Exe.
"It’s important for small communities to celebrate their history and we are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for enabling us to do just that."
Melissa Langton, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said that the company is delighted to support the Topsham Charter Day.
She said: "Community events such as these are important to not only create a fun day out for Topsham locals but also celebrate Topsham’s history.
"We hope everyone attending has a fantastic day."
