A woman has been arrested after trespassing on the railway line between Exmouth and Exeter on Sunday (September 1).
The line was closed at around 10.30pm last night while 'emergency services dealt with an incident on the line' at Digby and Sowton. The railway line between Exeter St David's and Exmouth closed after reports of a trespasser on the line.
In a statement from the British Transport Police, they said a woman was arrested for trespass and obstructing the railway.
A spokesman for the British Transport Police said it received reports of a trespasser on train tracks in the area. One woman was arrested on suspicion of trespass on the railway and obstruction of the railway.
They said: “Officers were called to the line near Digby and Sowton railway station to reports of a trespasser on the tracks. Officers attended and a woman was arrested on suspicion of trespass on the railway and obstruction of the railway.”
