Barchester's Raleigh Manor care home residents in Exmouth recently celebrated National Dog Day with a display of dog agility.
The home, run by Barchester Healthcare, partnered with training outfits Tail-Spin Training and Pawsitive Canine for the event held on August 26.
Family pets also joined the fun to raise awareness about the number of dogs in rescue centres.
The occasion is part of the home's life enrichment programme, which provides daily activities aiming to keep residents both physically and mentally engaged.
These activities are specially tailored to match the interests and abilities of the residents.
General manager, Gill Pratt, said: "Our residents love animals and lots of them have owned dogs in the past so it was a treat to be able to watch these talented pups showing off their agility moves.
"We are so grateful to Tail-Spin and Pawsitive Canine for taking the time to come and share their dogs with us."
Raleigh Manor offers residential care, dementia care, and respite care, and is part of Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK's largest care providers committed to delivering high-quality care in their homes and hospitals.
