Alex McDiarmid, the president of the Lions, hailed the community support.

He said: "It was truly amazing to see so many local people joining in to support this event.

"Without the dedication of everyone involved, the Lions wouldn’t be able to contribute so significantly to those in need within our community."

This year's gala has raised £10,000 from the Lions annual 10K trail run over the past three years, marking an impressive feat for everyone.
