A care home resident has been given the chance to sail again.
Tony Bradford, who lives at Raleigh Manor care home, is a keen sailor, and staff at the home decided to help him set sail once more.
The moment was made possible by Exe Sailing Club, who invited Tony to join their Sailability programme.
The skipper for the day was Jon Cousens, who used to sail with Tony, making it a "heart-warming reunion".
Tony has lived at Raleigh Manor since February and is "much loved by staff and residents alike".
Gill Pratt, general manager at the home, said: "We love being able to surprise and delight our residents on an individual basis.
"We want everyone we care for to know how important they are to us here at Raleigh Manor.
"It is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team here enriching our residents' lives in a personal way.
"It was wonderful to see how happy Tony was – and the staff loved being a part of this as well."
Raleigh Manor Care Home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering personalised care across its care homes and hospitals.
Raleigh Manor provides residential care and dementia care for up to 75 residents, from respite care to long-term stays.
Exe Sailing Club's Sailability programme aims to give people with disabilities the chance to enjoy sailing.
The club is based in Exmouth and offers a range of sailing activities and events for its members.
