The owner of The Octagon on the seafront in Exmouth has announced when the new-look restaurant and takeaway will open to the public.

An official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 12pm on Saturday (September 28). There will be two people cutting the ribbon: the builders Mr Freer hired to convert The Octagon into a restaurant, and the original builders who built the eight-sided feature building in 1964.

The takeaway section will be open, serving customers from 1pm after the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The restaurant opens from 5.30pm but is now sold out.

The Octagon is offering free Weeniee ice cream with every hot drink sold between 1pm and 3pm to be collected your free coffee voucher.

Mr Freer says that his new restaurant is 'Exmouth's only beachside restaurant'.
