A fire broke out in a garage in Exmouth, on Saturday afternoon (October 5).
The fire happened at around 4pm on October 5, two crews from Exmouth and Middlemoor Fire Station in Exeter were sent to deal with it.
Two fire engines were initially mobilised to reports of a garage on fire. Upon arrival, crews informed Control that flames and smoke was occurring, and requested two further fire engines for water and personnel.
At around 10pm, Crews confirmed that the fire was now out, however, they are still in attendance dampening down. The road re-opened after crews left the scene.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews have used: Two hose reel jets, Two covering jets, Two breathing apparatus to fight the fire in Iona Avenue, just off Exeter Road in the centre of Exmouth on Saturday afternoon."
