An Exmouth photography group has hailed its latest summer challenge as a success.
The Exmouth Photo Group, based at the Salvation Army Hall, Sheppard's Row, set the challenge during the summer months, asking members to produce four images from a choice of 12 categories.
The categories included abstract photography, panning shots, reflections on water, sails at sunset, tabletop arrangements, car trails, and night photography.
The group said that the summer challenge was a great hit with members, who showed their immense versatility by producing a range of creative images.
Christine Chittock, chairperson of the group, said: "It was great to see so many members engaging in The Challenge with obvious enthusiasm and a willingness to either revisit or try something new such as Car Trails and Night Photography.
"Once again we have had the opportunity to ask ‘How did you do that?’ and learn from each other."
The summer challenge follows a busy period for the group, which has hosted several events including a guest speaker from Costa Rica, an open evening showcasing members' work, practical demonstrations, and an evening of audio-visual techniques.
Looking ahead, the group has lined up several events for October, including a guest speaker on October 9, the first competition of the season on October 16, and an evening of showcasing different photography methods on October 23.
All events will be held at the Salvation Army Hall, Sheppard’s Row, Exmouth, from 7.30pm to 9.15pm.
