Food lovers have the opportunity to enjoy a unique dining experience in Exeter.

On Tuesday, October 29, Exeter Golf and Country Club will serve a four-course meal, with each dish crafted by a Michelin-starred chef.

The meal celebrates the finals of the South West Chef of the Year Awards, marking the 20th anniversary of the competition.

This year's competition results will also be announced during the event.

The chefs, all either judges or previous winners of the competition, will be creating their dishes alongside other past winners.

These include Chris Cleghorn, executive head chef at The Olive Tree in Bath, Hywel Jones, executive chef at Lucknam Park in Bath, Andrew Jenkinson, South West Professional and Overall Chef of the Year 2023, Scott Paton, executive chef at Àclèaf in Plympton, and Joe Cotton, sous chef at Àclèaf.

Michael Caines MBE DL, a Michelin-starred chef and co-founder and head judge of South West Chef of the Year, will also be present.

Mr Caines said: "This evening brings about a very rare gathering of the region’s leading chefs, including our judges and competitors, young chefs of the future, home cooks, suppliers and anyone with an interest in high-quality food and drink.

"As such it is a true celebration of all sectors of the thriving South West food, drink and hospitality industries.

"Come and join us and help us celebrate the 20th anniversary of the competition, the incredible South West food larder and of course, our very talented chefs."

Tickets cost £150 per person or £120 each for sponsors’ and competitors’ guests.

This includes a drinks reception with canapés, a four-course meal, wine with each course, coffee and petits fours.

Seating is at tables of 10.
