Exmouth Photo Group has celebrated a successful first competition of the season at their new venue.

The group, which meets weekly at The Salvation Army Hall, Sheppard’s Row, Exmouth, welcomed six new members to their sessions on Wednesday evenings.

On October 16, members showcased both print and digital entries for the season's first competition.

Richard Curzon, from Kingsbridge Camera Club, judged the competition and praised the high quality of the entries.

He noted the creative approach members had taken, alongside their technical skills.

Mr Curzon was awarded various honours, with Ian Bateman receiving the Overall Winner title for his digital image The Shout, a fitting tribute in the RNLI’s 200th year.

Chairperson Christine Chittock thanked members for their dedication in submitting their entries and also expressed gratitude to Mr Curzon for his positive feedback and helpful critique.

The Exmouth Photo Group's sessions are open to visitors and take place every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm to 9.15pm.
