A number of flood alerts have been issued for East Devon - as heavy rain is forecasted on Friday (October 18) and into Saturday (October 19).
An amber 'flooding is possible' notice has been issued at around 3pm on Friday and affects the South Devon estuaries and Rivers Otter and Sid, and Exmouth area.
On the South Devon estuaries, people are urged to stay away from risk areas and take care next to the coast. High tide is expected to be very high tonight which may cause flooding.
Flood alert area: Low-lying areas and communities in the Erme, Avon, Kingsbridge, Dart, Teign and Exe Estuaries.
The Environment Agency says that flooding is possible from Friday evening into Saturday morning as rivers remain high following recent rain, with further rain forecast into the weekend.
Catchments are wet and rivers are expected to remain high, leading to flooding of low-lying land and roads into the weekend.
The advice is: "Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions. Avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. We are constantly monitoring river levels.
"This message will be updated on Saturday, or earlier if the situation changes.
