The Exmouth Quakers' monthly Vigil for a Healthy Planet marks its first anniversary.
For the past year, the vigil has been held every third Sunday of the month at the Magnolia Centre.
The silent vigil, which lasts for 20 minutes starting at 11.40am, is followed by refreshments and discussions at the Open Door Centre.
The Exmouth Quakers say the vigil is a "silent witness to the damage that is happening to the earth and seas".
A spokesperson said: "We stand to show our concern and to hold the planet in our hearts and thoughts.
"The vigil is our spiritual response.
"There is wisdom and power in the stillness of standing together in our shared love and concern for the earth."
The members of the congregation are also involved in environmental groups such as The Tiny Forest, Transition Exmouth, Escape, and Friends of the River Exe.
The group meets every Sunday at the Open Door Centre on Church Street for their Meeting for Worship, which is open to all, from 10.30am to 11.30am.
Every meeting starts in silence, which the Quakers say they use "to open ourselves to the wisdom that comes out of stillness".
