A fundraising fashion show raised £1,200 for Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club.

The event, organised by Exmouth retailer Caramel, took place on October 3 and was a sell-out success.

More than 90 attendees flocked to the cricket club for an evening of fashion and fun.

The club's women's team took centre stage as volunteer models, showcasing the retailer's autumn and winter collection.

The event raised a total of £1,200 through ticket and raffle sales, all of which will go to the cricket club to fund improvements to disability access.

The event was described as a "huge success" by Caramel owner and cricket club member, Sarah Simcock.

She said: "We were keen to support the club and the excellent work they do in the community - making cricket accessible to those with disabilities and making the facilities available to local schools.

"The evening was a huge success, raising much-needed funds for the club.

"It was great to show the wide range of clothes we sell at Caramel to a wider audience.

"Since the fashion show, we have been very busy in the Exmouth shop and on our website with customers keen to update their wardrobe with our autumn collection."

Ticket holders were welcomed with a complimentary glass of fizz and had the chance to shop their favourite pieces after the show with an exclusive event discount.

The event was supported by numerous businesses and the boutique's own suppliers, who donated raffle prizes.

Sarah added: "Feedback has been great.

"Everyone loved seeing the new season clothes and getting outfit inspiration - although the evening is not just about fashion, it’s also about coming together with friends, having fun and helping to raise money for an amazing cause in a lovely relaxed environment."
