A new restaurant called Heydays will be opening at the former Mickey's Beach Bar at Sideshore in December.
The team behind Swim (Lyme Regis), Rise Café Bar (West Bay), and Rise Market & Bakery (Bridport) are starting their latest venture, Heydays, located at Unit 1 Sideshore, Exmouth, where Mickey’s previously operated.
The new restaurant is set to open its doors early-to-mid December. Celebrity chef Michael Caines announced last month that Mickeys Beach Bar was closing.

Founder Richard Cooper said: "With a commitment to supporting local producers and fostering community engagement, Heydays aims to provide a relaxed dining experience that celebrates the best of local food and drink.
“We want Heydays to embody our ethos of inclusivity and innovation. We want to create a space where everyone, including their dogs, feels welcome, and where the focus is on high-quality, locally-sourced food in a casual setting.”
Heydays will mirror the all-day dining format of Swim and Rise, at Lyme Regis offering a menu seven days a week, food, cocktails and local beers with great 'family-friendly vibes by the sea.'
Andy Briggs, Founder and Executive Chef said: “I’m really looking forward to bringing our style of relaxed dining to Devon. We have a strong reputation in Dorset with Swim and Rise for great quality food with influences from Asia and beyond - all at an affordable price. I’m confident our menu will be a hit here too."
In addition to the restaurant, Rise Bakery will open an artisanal bakery outlet in the spring, with sourdough, handcrafted pastries, and Extract coffee—all available to go.
