Representatives from the Exmouth pressure group End Sewage Poollution and Convoys, along with Surfers Against Sewage and Healthy Planet Group joined a regional protest in London.
The capital saw on Sunday the biggest ever call on water companies and the government to restore the health and beauty of British water.
A peaceful gathering of more that 15 000 people took place in Central London. Many were dressed in blue, wearing water related images whilst holding placards expressing their concern, some carrying models of fish.
Dancers, singers, drummers and artists performed whilst marching through the centre of the capital to parliament square where many speakers from environmental organisations, water lovers, WI, VIPs and even children moved our hearts.
A spokesman for Healy Planet Group Exmouth said: "We were privileged to witness a declaration of love to nature. All of us could share our deep sorrow arising from profit driven institutions’ disregard for our waters; disregard for the basis of life, our inspiration and our connection to creation."
Surfers against sewage organised a bus who picked up people from Truro at 3am and from Exmouth and Exeter at 5.00am.
Representatives from groups and communities all over the country travelled to the capital, people came together to express their unity and their outrage against the devastating pollution of their rivers.
The spokesman added: "No river in the UK is pollution free. Surfers, swimmers, sea lovers from all coastal regions, as all coast are effected, joined the loud and desperate call to give us our nature back.
"The water pollution is not just imposing a health risk on people with water hobbies, it is a violation of the sacredness of life itself, A strong sense of hope arose on parliament square, we are many, we are dedicated, our waters connect us and so we will not give up until the natural beauty of this country is restored."
